Stop it, ESPN...STOP

Sometimes ESPN makes me physically ill with their reporting, rumors, and speculation. As a fan, I get attached to certain players on my favorite teams (i.e., Peyton Manning).  I do not want to even imagine one of my favorite players leaving for another team. It is like losing a family member to marriage. But alas, if dealing with the eventual loss of Peyton Manning was not enough, ESPN’s Jamison Hensley blogged that the Ravens would be a great fit for Reggie Wayne. Obviously this is just speculation and hypothetical – but it is still bothersome to a hard-core Colts fan.

Baltimore – please do not take Reggie Wayne.  You have a good defense. No one wants you to get better.  People leave you in the middle of the night on the Mayflower! And Jim Irsay, if you want to preserve your fan base, then you may want to keep Reggie Wayne. People are going to blame you for the loss of Peyton. Peyton is a Saint in the majority of the state of Indiana (sans the northwest). And the fans would despise you even more if you let Reggie go. If you have an ego, which I know you likely do, keep Reggie for your sake.
