Ocean City Golf Trip Day 3

Our final day of the golf trip was eventful and interesting. One of our foursome members (J-Man) got food poisoning from bad tuna (the food) consumed on the previous evening. This sucked for all and especially his cart mate (Powder). Powder made up for it with liquid consumption and mouth gardening.

We actually only played 10 holes. The weather blew. Literally. It was a bit windy and even more cold. I had on 5 layers and still managed to shiver. My legs got scared and grew spikes to further the biological madness. I even overheard Mike say that he was a bit on the chilly side.

We played mediocre golf at best. Mike and I both scored a par on the 9th hole. We both struck the irons well and smoked some drives. Our short game was less than desirable although we will blame it on the browns (greens).

All in all, we had a good time. Who doesn't like to go to a tourist spot on the off-season? It is an awkward recluses' dream!

Evidence of a birdie

This was my second shot. I hit a wedge like it is my job. I got too cocky though. I proceeded to suck up the course promptly after the 3 was penciled in the little box.

Ocean City Golf Trip Day 2

I started the day off with a birdie. It was a work of art. I proceeded to bogey, double bogey, and collect a few unfinishable holes to end the round. I may or may not have channeled my juvenile inner artist on the score card.

The wind was outrageous today. I nearly took off in the air Mary Poppins style. I could do with a few windless days from here on to four years from now. Strategic golfing is not my strong suit.

Mike played well. He wore fun pants and hit a few beautiful shots.

Ocean City Golf Trip day 1

My drive is so messed up that I teed off on half the holes with a pitching wedge. To make matters worse, I did well with the wedge strategy. Like Watson, I am unconventional. Except one of us is a pro. And one of us is talented.

Mike played well. He would disagree but this is the first time we have played this year. Any sort of expectations would be destroyed by the harsh reality of rust. Regardless he struck the ball well.
